Contra Costa Adult School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Contra Costa Adult School campuses are located in Contra Costa County’s three detention facilities. Our mission is to facilitate successful transitions of adult learners by providing life-changing education and personal development. Courses include but are not limited to Adult Basic Education, High School Diploma, High School Equivalency Testing (HiSET), GED practice testing, Deciding Education Understanding Counseling Evaluation (DEUCE), Commitment to Change, and English Second Language (ESL). Contra Costa Adult School offers pre apprenticeship certification recognized by North American Building Trades Unions, TradesFutures for Multi Craft Core Curriculum (MC3).
