Contra Costa County Office of Education

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the educational landscape by offering innovative tools that enhance learning experiences and streamline administrative tasks. At CCCOE, we are committed to exploring and implementing AI technologies to support educators and students while prioritizing ethical considerations, data privacy, safety, and educational appropriateness.

CCCOE is supporting balanced AI use in education through a three-strand approach:

  • Educators
Focus on classroom use and educator efficiency tools. We offer both in-person and virtual training throughout the year to educators throughout Contra Costa.
  • Policy
Focus on creating data agreements and crafting policy for responsible use of AI in education. The Educational Technology Subcommittee is a critical part of this strand.
  • Monthly Staff Lunch & Learn trainings
Training for CCCOE staff on specific tools and processes to enhance productivity while using safe AI practices.
