Tutoring
Contra Costa County Office of Education has partnered with Children and Family Services to provide one-on-one tutoring assistance to K-12 enrolled foster youth throughout Contra Costa County. Services are prioritized for students performing below grade level and in need of extra support in English and Math. Tutoring can be provided in the home, at an appropriate nearby location such as a library, or online.
Referrals can be made to FYSCP by district site staff or social workers. If approved, the youth will receive 20 hours of tutoring. Tutoring may continue after 20 hours, pending approval and funding.
