CCCOE Special Education Schools

CCCOE Special Education Schools

CCCOE provides special day classes and community-based instruction for students with extensive support needs at seven different locations in the county. These students range from three to twenty-two years old. Regional offices for these schools are found at Turner Elementary in Antioch, Liberty High School in Brentwood, and Mauzy School in Alamo. Program placement is through a district referral process.
Support staff includes instructional assistants, speech pathologists, psychologists, nurses, adaptive physical education specialists, teachers for vision and mobility, specialists for deaf and hard of hearing students, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. All staff use innovative approaches to facilitate instruction and transition into the community.

Our mission is to educate and challenge students to achieve their maximum potential as independent and productive members of their community. We strive to meet our mission by providing an integrated learning environment utilizing technology, evidence-based practices, community resources and the teamwork of dedicated parents and care providers.

The Counseling and Education Program (CEP) at Floyd I. Marchus School in Concord provides special education services and integrated counseling for elementary, middle, and secondary school students who have been identified with significant emotional and behavioral needs.
